Kuebeker
Hi, Where are the bootloaders, EFI V8 or Chameleon, installed? I noticed that EFI V8 uses DD to copy files but I can not figure where.
Kuebeker
This EFI stuff is driving me insane! I found a 200mb EFI System Partition on each hd. I mounted them using mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s1 The HD that has EFI V8 installed has a file called Firmware.scrap located at /EFI/APPLE/EXTENSIONS/Firmware.scap The 2nd HD with Chameleon has the EFI Partition but is empty. Hagar
The so-called "EFI Bootloaders" have nothing to do wuth EFI and thus don't use the EFI System Partition. the bootloader is written to the bootsector like any other, although some variants (chameleon comes to mind) leave the last stage as a visible file in the root filesystem (most often called "boot")
