Falcon9x5 Posted March 27, 2006 Share Posted March 27, 2006 I managed to aquire Quake 3 to try and use with my OSx86 machine (10.4.5, P4, etc), but when I go to click install, a message saying "You cannot open the application "Quake III Arena Install" because it is not supported on this system". Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this problem? I've create a Frankenstein of installs, parts from the recompiled source code http://icculus.org/quake3/?page=home, the executable from that site, a recompiled Intel executable, but nothing seems to work. The baseq3 folder exists in about three different places too (Application Support, Applications, and in the Quake 3.app). Anyway, I can now start and enter a game, but about twenty seconds into it, I get returned to the desktop. Any ideas anyone? This one does, been playing for ages and no crashes. Haven't tested mp but. OSx86 Quake 3!!!
