Hello all,

I'm new to this so please bear with me. I guess i'll start with the specs for my computer.

Mobo- Asus P4SD-VL

Chipset- Intel i865P/PE/G/i848P

Processor- Pentium 4

RAM- 1GB

Video Card- Ati Radeon 9200

HDD- 40GB Maxtor (IDE Connection)

DVD drive- Unknown (IDE Connection)

Well so far, I have tried a iATKOS v1.0r2 disk, I used disk utility to format the whole drive as Mac Journaled, with a GPT(GUID?) partition table. Then at the customize screen, i selected the Darwin x86 bootloader(no efi). After the installation, I rebooted and it came up with a B0 error. Next i searched on here, and found out i had to set the partition to active. i did that, but now I'm stuck with a blinking cursor.

Any ideas on what to do? I will be trying Kalyway 10.5.1 within the next hour or so.

Also, i was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me in about a week with a Boot-132 install. Will my computer even work with boot 132? i will be ordering my OS X retail disk tomorrow, and am hoping to get this um and running first, so that by the time the disk comes, i will have a working system and be a little more familiar with Leopard.

Thanks.

EDIT:

After installing Kalyway 10.5.1, i get the error

"System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found"

hey, thanks for the reply..

well now i can get to darwin, i press f8, and -v,

it goes through the normal lines running down, but then the screen blanks out..

i have left it for a few miniutes already.

any idea now?

thanks

EDIT

without -v, i see the white screen, which then blanks out..

also, on -v, the last line is some directory(with spotlight in the path),

then something about index ci error? the last words are something about no index..

after searching, the error resembles this:

/.Spotlight-V100/Store-V1/Stores/6931734F-E75A-4184-B567-B48030202308) (Error) IndexCI in ContentIndexOpenBulk:No index

i cant guarantee that thats character for character, but it looks the same..

the whole part after (Error) is correct though..
