alvin777 Posted October 18, 2008 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Hi. I'll be getting my iPhone 3G (sealed, openlined by Apple) today. Any tips for first time use? I've heard it's best to charge it for 3 hours first before turning it on for the first time then discharging it fully then wait for 5 hours before charging it again fully (and repeating the process for up to two more times) like what was said here (click). I've also read you have to fully discharge the battery every so often to calibrate it but won't that damage the battery or stop making it work because lithium-ions fail when they are fully discharged?
