aaronz8
My hxintosh is 10.5.2 Kalyway, and everything seems to be fine. However, Maya won't run correctly. The installation went fine, but when i run Maya, the license thing comes up. I have used the aw.dat generator, etc, and the license popup accepts the file. Everything is successful and the popup is closed. When i run Maya again, the same license popup comes up. When i open the networkinterfaces.plist, everything is </ true> for built-in. However, when i try to use the mac address for en0, there is error in licensing. It only accepts the en1 mac address. I have tried replacing the networking kext, but all it did was break my network. I have tried the patch, and same thing. It broke my network. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve? I don't want to have windows just because of 1 or 2 programs.... Thanks in advance! EDIT: Here is what my console says: 10/19/08 12:35:01 AM [0x0-0x2f72f7].com.alias.Maya.2008 AuthorizationCopyRights returned status 0. 10/19/08 12:35:01 AM [0x0-0x2f72f7].com.alias.Maya.2008 AuthorizationCopyRights returned status 0. 10/19/08 12:35:01 AM [0x0-0x2f72f7].com.alias.Maya.2008 AuthorizationCopyRights returned status 0. 10/19/08 12:35:01 AM [0x0-0x2f72f7].com.alias.Maya.2008 AuthorizationCopyRights returned status 0. 10/19/08 12:35:10 AM Maya[1398] NSDocumentController Info.plist warning: The values of CFBundleTypeRole entries must be 'Editor', 'Viewer', 'None', or 'Shell'. 10/19/08 12:35:10 AM Maya[1398] NSDocumentController Info.plist warning: The values of CFBundleTypeRole entries must be 'Editor', 'Viewer', 'None', or 'Shell'. 10/19/08 12:35:10 AM Maya[1398] NSDocumentController Info.plist warning: The values of CFBundleTypeRole entries must be 'Editor', 'Viewer', 'None', or 'Shell'. 10/19/08 12:35:11 AM com.apple.launchd[150] ([0x0-0x2fa2fa].com.alias.Maya.2008[1398]) Stray process with PGID equal to this dead job: PID 1400 PPID 1 apcw 10/19/08 12:35:12 AM [0x0-0x2fa2fa].com.alias.Maya.2008 @@@@@@@@ opening log EDIT 2: I GOT IT TO WORK!!!!!! the trick is to follow the directions 100%. At first, I used notepad instead of WORDPAD and it didn't work. 1. First Create a directory on the c: drive (even if you install maya on different drive) called FLEXLM 2. Copy the aw.dat and awkeygen.exe file to this directory. 3. Install Maya 4. Goto start-->all programs-->Autodesk-->common utilities-->FlexLM license utilities 5. Under system settings copy Ethernet address 6. Open the file (from the directory FLEXLM) aw.dat with Wordpad and replace the words "your host" with the copied Ethernet address. Save and close wordpad 7. Using the run utility and type: awkeygen.exe aw.dat 8. Goto start-->all programs-->Autodesk-->Maya 2009-->Licensing select "I would like to install license from a file" 9. Browse to the path of the file aw.dat 10. Click install 11. Restart computer OSX: --- Your license (default) dir is /var/flexlm so copy the generated aw.dat (you did that on a windows machine in dos) into that directory.
