Peter R.
hey all, My Gigabyte 965P-DS4 board quit on me over the weekend, and I replaced it with a Gigabyte EP35-DS3 yesterday. OSX 10.5.4 booted up without problems, except, as I expected, without sound. The old mobo used th ALC888, this one uses the ALC889A. Is it sufficient that I just 'repatch' for 889 with Taruga's patch, or do I need to remove stuff first ? Thanks, Peter R.
Alundra
Use the attached kext from Taruga, it works fine. AppleHDA.kext.zip
Peter R.
Thank you for that, but meantime I found the excellent tool from ~pcwiz, just clicked the button and all was fine. I've also installed the shutdown and restart mods, but haven't been able to test those yet. Peter R.
