BRAINNDROPP Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Ok, I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 and it works great minus a couple things...I need help with getting Quartz extreme working with my 7800gt. I have native resolution 1920x1200, but no QE...so its sluggish. I also have no sound, I have a Gateway GT5438 I got for free and decided to turn it into a dedicated hackintosh. Problem is I have sigmatel onboard audio...any ideas on how to get this working? I also have a soundblaster live card, which apparently doesn't work either? So I haven't installed it. BRAINNDROPP Posted October 14, 2008 Author Share Posted October 14, 2008 Yes I have tried nvinstaller...still no go I was researching and some people said they had to edit the plist of the kext or something...Im a little lost as there isn't much info that I could find on google about it and there are a lot of old broken links. If that will not work does anyone know of a good either PCI or usb mac compatible sound card that will work with osx86?
