nickcas
A few days ago I installed the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD onto my Gateway ML6721 Laptop. After trial and error of using modified ps/2 kexts for my keyboard and mouse I was finally able to install it by using -f -x at boot. After installing I booted with -f -x and set up an account. After restarting, I booted with -f -s to get out of safemode, and into the normal OS. Everything was fine. Then yesterday I restarted and couldn't boot with -f -s anymore. Half the time it would load with a jumbled frozen screen, and the other half of the time it wouldn't get past a certain part at the screen with the black backround and white font (shown below). Infact, the only thing I could use to boot was -f -x. (I need -f to load my ps/2 kexts, unless there's another way?). I reinstalled kalyway 10.5.2, but the same error is happening. I'd like to boot to the normal OS, because in safemode I can't use my wireless realtek. mschilling
I had success on a similar Gateway with the X3100 graphics using iATKOS v4 with the vanilla kernel, stock files, sata, and X3100 driver checked.
nickcas
Thanks for that, but I already had this working, and I just want to see what the problem is.
