peach-os
to make it easier you should post all your specs. here is a fix for the ich10 r http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=887408 you could compare your disk score going through the xbench thread. so far 82 is ok
roni_79
where can i paste(install) these files; "IOAHCIFamily.kext.dir and AppleAHCIPort.kext.dir" for AHCI fix...
peach-os
this is already an explanation where to install it. copy those kexts to your dektop.with right click you can choose "open package". you will see exactly the same structure. copy the plist to the correct position and install the kext. MacUser2525
where can i paste(install) these files; "IOAHCIFamily.kext.dir and AppleAHCIPort.kext.dir" for AHCI fix... You copy them as root to the same equivalent .kext in the /System/Library/Extensions directory for example if you extracted the .zip file in your Downloads directory you open Terminal (it is located in your Applications --> Utilities folder) then type in sudo -s hit the enter key then type in your password you set on install then hit enter key again you are now root use these commands to copy. cp ~/Downloads/AHCIFix/AppleAHCIPort.kext.dir/Contents/Info.plist /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAHCIPort.kext/Contents/ cp ~/Downloads/AHCIFix/IOAHCIFamily.kext.dir/Contents/Info.plist /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/ Once done this you delete the caches and .mkext file. rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/Caches rm -r /System/Library/Caches rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext Then you reboot hitting the F8 key to get to the boot loader when it comes up use the hit any key option to get to the command line once there type in then hit enter key -f to force the reloading/caching of all the .kext on the system, it should now show up as the proper name.
