Michalis
Hi there I had a problem with my firewire card sharing an irq with UAD-1 DSP card... Logic Studio was taking hours to perform a task , so i managed assigning different irqs to each device and things now run smooth... I dont really know if that was the problem or something else...probably it was though The question is , how Leopard is managing IRQs and IRQ conflicts?? does anyone know how i can tinker this settings from osx rather than bios?? what are the similarities and differences with windows?? Any in depth info would be really appreciated. i work on iDeneb 10.5.5 thanx
Slice
I know such problem. It is mistake of IOPCIFamily.kext. The default one does not properly allocate resources (memory, IRQ, IO). Try my corrected version from topic http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=71308 The sources included so you can see what is changed.
