Elfenlyte
I've never installed a graphics/video card and haven't had much experience inside the computer. How risky would it be for me to install a video/graphics card while following a detailed guide. I read that making a mistake can hurt the motherboard and CPU, etc. But I can be very careful. So is it a good or bad idea. If it's a bad idea, what would be a reasonable price to pay someone to do it?
Korrupted
Installing a graphics card is easy and not really risky unless you don't ground yourself[i.e. Touch something metal like the power supply's casing before you unplug it]. You just need to locate the appropriate slot where it goes into, and then make sure your card is facing the right way. Then you just plug it in, literally. After that, if it needs an extra power pin connector, be sure to hook that up to your card, and to the power supply. Youtube has what appears to be a decent tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0_cZuft6l8 One from TigerDirect:
