I am really happy to have a working OS x86 system now (that is what I am posting on right now!) and I will like someone to point me towards a way to get the two aforementioned pieces of hardware (ATI X1800XL and Realtek ALC882) fully compatible under OS x86. I know there is a way, but I can't find it. Thank you! Aurora Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 There's a thread under the "Drivers" subforum that deals with the ALCXXX audio chipsets here. It doesn't look to be too different from your ALC882, so the solution will likely be similar. I'm running ALC250 and it helped me. As for your ATI card, there's an effort to get decent ATI drivers written, tested, and running; there's a lot of threads with "ATI" in the title at any rate. Apple seems to only have x86 support for Integrated Intel graphics solutions and certain ATI ones. Good luck.
