Hi, this requests might be a little more difficult then normal

I have an Acer Aspire 3680-2633.... the problem is that I have replace the Celeron with a Core 2 Duo 5300

Bios 1.3505

Intel chipset with 2 gigs of ram. Everything works with a little modding and replaced wi-fi card. Just wanting to see about getting both cores to work.

okay, switching to Vista.

Give me a few, and I'll see what I can come up with for you guys :)

I'm getting Page can not be found.

Currently working on the requested bios's

Guys, both of your Acer computer have a rom image .wph, I can't edit those yet.

@ warlord

I have Posted your Bios on my website :)

Cool, I'm in. I had to find v2.2 to open it though. looks like there is hope for .whp file :hysterical: Looking at the .aml file right now.

I'll let you know what I find in about 5 or 10

EDIT*

If your on, I might have this done in about a few ( 1 or 2 ) minutes. get back at me. :censored2:

man this sucks, what is that a compiler error? I will look an see what I can find to try and help today.

just a quick look and I found that someone would open the .wph file in the phoenix bios editor and then go the temp file and then use something else to edit the rom files that where in there and then recompile that rom file and then recompile the .wph file. does that sound possible??

The problem I'm running into is, I've already edited these files, I can even make your acer show a Apple logo on boot ( not my credit, Gotoh credit for showing me how ).

But, the matter is, no matter what I do, PBOE will not re-compile the rom at all, when I try to rebuild the rom after editing, I get ( Unable to write to temp file.......... asl compile error )?

I'll dig around to fins what I can, as this is going to drive me nuts now.

I wish I would have noted this kind of stuff. I was just trying to figure out a way to get this done. all I did was google modify .wph bios and it was one of those that was in there. I was in the shower and was thinking that there was also something about the .wph files are right protected and that there is a switch that you have to change on them to get them to be edited. sorry I cannot be of more help.
