hellspawn
Hi! I used to run three OSs on my system: Linux, Windows and Mac OS. Since I have Mac OS, I hardly use Linux anymore and I thought that it will be sufficient if I run it in a virtual machine to free some drive space. The problem I now have is that I currently use GRUB as boot loader and I have the PC_EFIv8 file stored on the linux partition. When I remove the linux partition, how do I boot or chose the operating system? I tried installing Chameleon, but it overwrote my MBR and killed GRUB so I can only boot OSX now. What's the "weapon of choice" for dual booting Windows/OSX without Linux/GRUB?
zef
Just add a Timeout value to your boot.plist then Darwin loader will display a boot menu where you can select Windows as well. Get here for more info how to edit your boot.plist file: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...ost&p=61783
hellspawn
Wow, that was easy. I just started messing with Vista's bcdedit and the chain0 file (without success). Thanks for your help!
