rjl Posted October 3, 2008 Share Posted October 3, 2008 Hey guys, i've been workin on installing the osx on my sony vaio laptop VGN-CR506E, for almost a month, i tried tiger and then the new leopard 10.5...the set up works fine, and then when i pick the mac partision, it shows the apple logo loading, and gets stuck on white screen with like a blue strip towards the rightside from top to bottom... is there something im doin wrong, does anyone know what to do next???..thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Can anyone help me with this.... Hi, I had the exact same problem with my Sony VAIO CR323 laptop (Also with Intel X3100 graphics). I had this problem during *installation* of a retail Leopard 10.5.6 The solution for me was to delete the kexts it was using (In my case, the AppleIntel...3100... kexts) from the CDROM. If you've got it installed, then you've gotten further than me - congrats. However now you'll need to delete the X3100 kexts which come on the CDrom and (if you want hardware accel video), replace with patched versions you'll find floating about on these boards.
