FishCow
Did a search and couldn't find a mention of said "AppleJack 1.5" - so mentioning it Full details here at Author's Site AppleJack not only allows you to Repair your disk (fsck) but also repair permissions, delete swap files, validate preference files, clean up cache files and a few other deep and "experimental" things. You can run each task individually or use the "Auto Pilot" mode. Entering "x" will take you to Expert Mode You can also optionally install an OS X version of Memtest - which is then (after installation) accessible from the before mentioned Expert Mode. The readme is gold ! Anyway, hope you find it useful, was MIA for a while until this latest Leopard compatible version.
MaaseyRacer
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=125161 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=124156 I use it on my MacBook Pro and it works well, I have only had issues with it when Tiger first came out and the software had not been updated yet. I have yet to install it on the hack, but no need it runs well.
Solow
Applejack is a very useful tool if you get some file corruption etc. I had some issues on my Hack related to bad ram and this new version of Applejack helped tremendously. And it's free! Grab it!
