I just managed to successfully install Kalyway 10.5.3 On an

Intel Celeron D 2.66Ghz

1024MB (1GB) Memory

2x 80GB Hard Drives (PATA)

Built-In Realtek AC'97 Audio Chipset (SiS)

Built-In SiS Mirage Graphics Chipset ({censored} i know)

I try to play a Video in VLC, or any player for that matter, and it just comes up with a black screen, i can hear the audio and everything, but nothing shows up on the screen. Interestingly enough, i enable ASCII art mode, and it displays the video, but i'd rather not have to watch a video in a pixely little text mode. I've tried every single video option in VLC, but it still doesn't show up.

Any ideas?

Had the exact same problem, until I enabled Core Image and Quartz Extreme. You need to get your video fully working.
