jbourassa
Hello, My computer has been crashing lately. My screen freezes, the keyboard won't respond, but the mouse still moves (wont click tho) and the music is still on. Edit: I noticed I can open my dvd drive. Also, it does not crash when in safe mode. Could it be related to Core Image / Quartz Extrême? I'd like to try, but I don't know how to turn it off. I have found one thing that crashes nearly everytime (managing a site with CODA software). Mainly, I would like to get clues on what might be wrong with my installation / kexts that make my hackintosh crash. I guess a good start would be to find a way to get an error message of some sort. Anyone know how I can do that? Here's my setup : 10.5.4 installed from 10.5.2 Kalyway. Asus P5K board. C2D E6750 ATI HD2900XT.

jbourassa
Ya I never assumed it was Coda's fault. I'd just like to figure what crashes my hackintosh
jbourassa
More info discovered : the hackintosh will not crash if Quartz Extreme / Core Image is disabled (aka safe boot or no video kexts). I'm guessing this is related to my Kexts or maybe the software itselfs that crashes with 10.5.
