Brennagan
I had it all working fine for about a month and then I noticed I needed updates so I updated and and was some that needed a restart so im like ok ill restart. And in the process it shows me like a warning i need to shut down, and then every reboot after that i got the same warning so ive reinstalled it. Now the three times after that its installed fine ive installed the wifi driver just fine. But the first 2 times I would get the same screen saying i need to restart, and this third time its froze on "Installing 7 items, Writing files: 20% complete" its been like that for 30 mins so ill leave it on while i go to class and see if anything changes. I have a dell inspiron 1525, and used this guide http://www.espressoreport.com/83/dell-insp...k-pro-tutorial/. Thanks in advance for the help

tomazzzi
You need to open your extention folder before doing the update then watch carefully during it & delete AppleCpuPowermanagement.kext once it appear. Hope this helps Bye

Shadow_2k
Download the update from apple.com manualy (normal Update for 10.5.4 to 10.5.5, Combo for 10.5.x to 10.5.5). Follow the instructions in this thread to install the update (The guide is written for 10.5.3 but it is also valid for 10.5.5): http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=107340 I did it with the normal update from 10.5.4 to 10.5.5 using vanilla kernel and it worked for me. I guess it also works with the combo update unless you are using a modified kernel.
