ND1612
Hello everyone, I have recently bought a 3ware sidecar and Leopard is not detecting the card. I have looked on many forums and searched as well and still nothing. I have installed it with the drivers given by the company. I would call and ask them for support, but since I have a hackintosh that is a no go. Also I know it is connected correctly because when I boot windows, it reads it fine. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance. Specs Kayway 10.5.2 C2D 2.33 1333Mhz 4Gb 800Mhz Abit IP35 Pro Nvidia 8600GT 3ware 9650SE RAID (http://www.3ware.com/products/Ext_serial_ata2-9000.asp) I have everything working, but my new Raid card. The forums I have checked: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=94679 (No help) http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=66345 (Didn't work, although I am not trying to make it my main drive) http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=111140 (No help) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/127964-3ware-raid-help-please/ Share on other sites
vlad1966
Can't be of much help, other than to suggest: Check with 3Ware that the driver has been tested with whatever version of OS X you're using Check System/Library/Extensions that the driver is ACTUALLY there (longshot, I know) Contact 3Ware and just tell them you're using a Mac Pro PS: I found this buried in 3Ware's KB: "Although not officially supported, you can use the code from the 1.2.0.0 code set on the Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard and older. Mac OS X 10.5.4 Leopard is not yet supported if using an Intel based Mac. Check this KB article for updates regarding future Mac OS X 10.5.4 Leopard support." ND1612
I did check that it was in there and even transferred it there myself. I will give them a call just to see what happens. Could it be that my second PCI-E port is not being recognized by osx? Thanks for the reply Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/127964-3ware-raid-help-please/#findComment-907531 Share on other sites
esprit
I've got the same problem with the AMCC 3ware sidecar - kext is installed but the controller isn't recognised by OS-X. I have manually reinstalled he kext by using the OSX86 tool, but that didn't help either. Any advice would be appreciated.
