I focused my attention on the 9800 gt (someone told me that drains less power and warm less than a 8800gt) and i don't know why but i'm attracted by nvidia. the question is... i would like to spend beetwen 150 and 200 $ wich brand do you suggest me ? and most important will it work in dual screen mode ? at wich resolution . A H Timu Posted December 27, 2008 Share Posted December 27, 2008 I could not get dual display and resolution (rather tan 1024 x 678) by this card. but 7200, 8800 works fine. I am trying to develop kext with assistance from my programer friend. But why you do not go with nvidia gf7200 or 8800 what is less expensive also? Both just require GFx_util or EFi studio for a simple com.apple.Boot.plist edit to work perfectly, with dual display and all resolutions, not to mention QE/CI enabled.
