Hi,

I've had to restore from Time Machine. I cant boot. I have seen many people have been able to fix this with the 'darwin' command on the iAtkos 2 disk. I dont have that particular disk, I have v1 and lots of others.

Does anyone know of another distro which can run the darwin command?

I've tried iDeneb, Kalyway 10.5.2 and ToH.

Or, another option would be getting into the OS using a DVD to boot...I'm not sure how to do that though.

Thanks.

You should be able to boot the system using your DVD (tested with Kalyway 10.5.2).

Boot using the DVD and press F8 when the Darwin bootloader counts from 5 to 0. You'll need to know your disk identifier to boot your installed OS X.

Enter "rd=disk0s1" (without "", replace disk0s1 with the correct identifier)

some examples:

rd=disk0s1 = hard disk 1, partition 1

rd=disk0s2 = hard disk 1, partition 2
