alnova1 Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 1st time this happened...Spinning wheel on startup and would do nothing else. I ran disk utility from OSX leo disk and it said everything had been repaired but still nothing so I reformatted and everything was fine. After either a lose of power or a restart a few days later, Spinning wheel of death again and nothing. Disk utility said invalid sibling link and could not repair. I unmounted the disk in terminal and tried the fix there...nothing. I also tried other utilities as well and nothing so I restored from Time Machine and everything was fine for a few days until the power went off for a brief minute and upon restart, now I have a blinking folder with a question mark. Is this a failing hard drive? Memory? If anyone has any suggestions I would be thankful. Imac 17 inch 1.83 Intel Core Duo. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
