Chris Kim
I have a machine that is similar to the dev boxes, in that it's running a 915 chipset, etc. Its the MSI 915GLM-V, which I saw on the compatibility list to be a very compatible motherboard. I try to boot from the 10.4.5 DVD i have, and it just stays on the white/grey apple screen, and the spinning thing at the bottom. Nothing more. I'm installing from my 10.4.1 DVD because that one seems to work. What can I do to get my 10.4.5 dvd? Or can I just upgrade from 10.4.1 to 10.4.5? How would I do that? Thanks in advance! zu1u
i've tried to upgrade from 10.4.1 to 10.4.4/.5 and it didn't work.. not sure why and i didn't bother finding out.. too anxious to get the 10.4.5 installed the 'proper' way i installed it via VMware and Daemon Tools on a separate HDD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12750-cant-boot-1045-patched-dvd/#findComment-80800 Share on other sites
Chris Kim
I had found my hardware listed as no patch needed and works perfect under the 10.4.3 list. Is there a chance that it wouldnt be compatible with 10.4.5? Also. It seems that I cant use my apple usb keyboard to select/enter past the Darwin (which boot volume do you want) menu, unless I have another ps2 keyboard plugged in. Why is that? How do I get around it? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12750-cant-boot-1045-patched-dvd/#findComment-80845 Share on other sites
