runwitmeeh
So I was having problems running Final Cut Studio 2 on my AMD system. It would load just fine and then it would crash when I tried editing or dragging videos around. However, after messing around with this stuff a little and a bit of research on OS x86 on AMD based systems, the solution was obvious and easy. So I just right-clicked on Final Cut and clicked Get Info. Then I just checked the box "Open using Rosetta" and now everything works fine and dandy. I do realize the program may not run as fast with this checked, but I just prefer AMD over Intel systems in general. Hope this helps someone out, cause I was looking for this for awhile but to no avail. Snerler
Maybe its crashing because it needs the cpuids patched for AMD. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/127368-final-cut-editing-crash-on-amd-cpus/#findComment-900775 Share on other sites
