DVD Drive Waking From Sleep

I have a 99% working installation:

- Kalyway 10.5.1 updated to 10.5.5

- Vanilla Kernel, Darwin 9.5

- Badaxe 2 mobo

- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz)

- BFG GeForce 8800GT OC 512MB Video Card (working dual monitors, QE, etc.)

- 2 320GB HDDs

- 3GB OCZ Platinum memory

The system goes to sleep fine, and wakes up fine with the display and everything working, except for my DVD drive. When it wakes up, the drive starts making weird noises, like it starts attempting to read something and then stops, then starts again, etc. The drive is a Lite-On 52X (or whatever) Lightscribe drive. When I booted with -v -f and then caused the error, I shut down and noticed something with IOATAFamily.kext (or something similar). I'm guessing this is where my problem lies, but I don't know how to fix it. Has anyone has this problem before, and if so, have you been able to fix it? I don't want to start messing with stuff then mess up my installation. I've searched throughout the site but haven't come across anything that looks like it would help me. After I get this figured out my installation will be working perfectly, so any help would be appreciated.
