tyger52@hotmail.com
hey guys, so I'm kind of new to this, I've installed onto my internal once, but now I'm having problems installing onto my external. I'm using Kalyway 10.5.1 I've formatted to the Mac OS Extended (journaled), I started the install and got to the point where 1 minute was left on the install (irrelavant) and then a error message comes up and says that some files can't be installed on volume/(harddrivename). When i turn the pc on i can choose either vista or the mac operating system but there it says chain booting error when i try to choose mac, I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem or knows the solution. Blue-K
I would say: 1) Try to install again 2) Take another Distro (Leo4all, iAtkos, JaS....) More can't you do...on my External HD, I have never had a problem...But I also never used Kalyway because it didn't worked for me...
BlueShft
Trying to install OS X 10.5.1 (Kalyway) on and external HD. Disk Utility, during installation, won't detect the external HD (USB2.0 to IDE interface), whilst windows vista is able to. I have also tried to pre-format the HD (on a Leopard machine) to a Mac Journaled Disk, but even that does not seem to help. Should also note that the USB HD is detected in my computers BIOS. My laptop is a Clevo D901C with Quad Core Q9550, 4GB DDR800 RAM, SLi 8800M GTX. Thanks, Blue Shift
