xitaxuta Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 what chipset does your motherboard has?? have u try to select the 9.4 Vanilla Kernel on the iDeneb Installation instead of the Modbin? Anyways if you are thinking updating to 10.5.5 using the software update it wont work even with the vanilla kernel.. ive tried several times the installation hangs everytime. How can I upgrade than to 10.5.5? Please help me with some advice. Hardware Spec is in my Profile. Get OSX86tools by pcwiz and then extract the 9.4 vanilla kernel from the ideneb dvd using pacifist. After that use the OSX86 tools to backup the old kernel and install the new one. To update to 10.5.5 you will need to backup any extensions you may need and then download from apples site the 10.5.5 delta update not the combo one. You can then run some code in terminal to remove the AppleIntelCPUPowerManangement.kext file before you run the update. It is doable. Go HERE for the code. Just copy and paste.
