dripple
The past days were exciting to me. As I have read the first announcements of the new Intel-based Macs I really wanted get back "on board". I ever had have a Mac since Macintosh Classic (comming from a Atari ST, who remembers?). Six years ago, I "left" Apple and turned to Windows. I never felt "home". Now, by discovering this board, I thought "give this patching thing a try". It took me a while how to figure out the install. It runs now on its own hard drive, I put a "new" old network card in and finally, just as a joke, I connected an cheap (less than 10 Euros) USB audio module in. Voilá. Sounds better than my AC97 (of course, it can't competete with my M-Audio Delta 44 ) Even my USB-Cardreader works fine and the 4GB Microdrive of my camera was properly recognized. You won't imagine how happy I am. And you folks made it happen. Just want thank you all. And now, there's so much to learn. So much to discover. I'll start right now. (This icon above was the absolute first I have ever seen on a Mac because it was the start symbol of the system. Glad to see it here back ;-) ) Regards from Berlin, Germany Dripple Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12676-ot-just-want-to-say-thank-you-ll/ Share on other sites
MacApprentice
I know the feeling, I come originaly from the Amiga world and never felt the same thing with crapdows. Now I got this machine built on purpose to run OSX and it feels GREAT, it's almost like a very evolved AmigaOS with a hint of nix systems. So you're not alone Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12676-ot-just-want-to-say-thank-you-ll/#findComment-80314 Share on other sites
