You unzip your folder "OpenHaltRestart_1.0.3.kext.zip", you move your kext in the kext helper window > apply... After rebooting, the problem must be fixed... For what ever reason after applying the kext with kext helper the problem still persists. That's why I am hoping for mvn4wrd's hack. he posted it but i kinda gotten lost with it. That's why i am hoping for him to post a step by step instructions on how to appy the hack. BosnaZmaj Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 There could be numerous reasons why it's not working. I dont think it has anything to do what hackingtosh version you've installed. I've even tried updating thru apple update to .6 and even though the update went fine without any problems the openhalt didnt work. And the problem could be anywhere from the multi core cpu not shutting off all the cores to some other kext blocking open halt from working properly. So i am hoping that the hack mentioned might work. I just couldnt understand what he exactly meant to do.
