It does work on iDeneb 10.5.5, however it's not working on 10.5.6. For what ever reason after applying the kext with kext helper the problem still persists. That's why I am hoping for mvn4wrd's hack. he posted it but i kinda gotten lost with it. That's why i am hoping for him to post a step by step instructions on how to appy the hack.

There could be numerous reasons why it's not working. I dont think it has anything to do what hackingtosh version you've installed. I've even tried updating thru apple update to .6 and even though the update went fine without any problems the openhalt didnt work. And the problem could be anywhere from the multi core cpu not shutting off all the cores to some other kext blocking open halt from working properly. So i am hoping that the hack mentioned might work. I just couldnt understand what he exactly meant to do.

right click on the kext

select show contents

copy/paste the kext inside

delete old kext

install copied kext

I don't understand what you are saying? I understand about the copying but paste where in the thread? Delete old kext and replace it with what?

Does anyone have a link to CHud's kext and the ideneb fix?

Thanks
