Uncle_Pinny
Quick question: I have a 2006 Pro with 667Mhz 5300 memory. Can I successfully use 800Mhz 6400 memory on it? Will it just run at the 667Mhz speed if I whack it in? It will be the only memory in my system so won't be mixed with any other sticks of 667Mhz speed. Any ideas? mrbonkers
i think it would. in a pc it would run at a lower speed. it should do the same in a mac too Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/126319-mac-pro-can-i-use-800mhz-ram-on-667mhz-system/#findComment-894040 Share on other sites
