Korrupted Posted March 20, 2006 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I gave up on Mac for my laptop for a while, but I'm ready to wrestle with it again. I upgraded it to 10.4.5, which is supposed to have the new drivers for Atheros. Well, it still won't work. I have the same vendor and device IDs as several other people, and mine does not work. Any clues why? LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI adapter Vendor ID: 168c Device ID: 0013 Using 10.4.3 io80211family.kext and 10.4.5 ionetworkingfamily.kext . If I need to provide more info just tell me. Edit: I'll ask other questions later; I want to get this working first. Edit 2: Is this in the wrong forum? If so, could a mod please move it? Sorry.. mr_christer Posted March 23, 2006 Share Posted March 23, 2006 I had the same issues you have with my atheros card To get my atheros card working I needed the 10.4.5 IO80211family.kext If you have the myzar DVD you will find a file something like AppleUpd10.4.5Intel.pkg Open this package with pacifist and extract the IO80211family.kext and replace it!
