jaadkd
I've got a 945gcm5 MSI motherboard, ICH-7 chipset, Realtek ALC-888 for my audio chipset. I'm running 10.5.3 (Kalyway 10.5.2 upgraded to Kalyway's 10.5.3) I've tried everything available here, yet get no sound. (HDA enabler, Taruga's patcher, etc. ) With HDAEnabler, in System Profiler, I get this: Intel High Definition Audio Device ID: 0x14627267 Audio ID: 12 Available Devices: Attached is my codec dump. dump.txt
glorybox
Same thing here. Same motherboard and device id. Have you found a solution?
MacNutty
Did you tried repairing permissions after applying patch?
jaadkd
@ glorybox: I had to reinstall and downloaded iDeneb 1.1 10.5.4. (updated to 10.5.5) I have audio now (it used the AppleAzaliaAudio kext) but it's line-out only. There's a thread somewhere on this board about manually patching the AppleHDA.kext with the values from the codec dump.....cant' find it right now. (side note- with earlier versions of Taruga's patcher, I was able to get the system to recognize the audio fully but had no audio at all.) I haven't had time to look into it at all. (edit: here's the thread. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=127227 ) If only Auzentech made drivers for my X-Fi Prelude... @MacNutty: Yes, I did. No change.
