sillyfotos
Hi everyone, I'm planning on building a new system that I'll use 50% for gaming (in Windows) and 50% for OSXProject. I've reviewed the hardware compatibility list and noticed over the past few weeks/months that sure some of the Asus M/Bs have been added to the list (ex. Asus Maximus Formula II & Asus Rampage Formula), but none of the "Extremes". Is this because Apple/OSX doesn't support DDR3 at all? Or does it simple mean that OSXProject doesn’t support the Asus Rampage Extreme or just simply that no one has tested that M/B? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance. MadGhost
Hello, I don't know if your board is fully supported but DDR3 works with OSx86. My board is an Asus but P5E3 and I have 4GB of DDR3 with iDeneb v1. But I don't know exactly if OSx86 can use the "real" bandwidth/frequency. bye Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/124989-asus-rampage-extreme-ddr3-memory/#findComment-883768 Share on other sites
