The restore disk patcher would not work for me using either of two macs. I change the directory path and get "command not found". Any ideas? I definitely have the correct disc image and software and renamed the disc image correctly also.

You must edit the APDIR line in the Patchit file (with TextEdit app) and rename the default name drive (OSX is the default name in the Patchit file) to your 10.4.3 drive name.

An example of the original APDIR="/Volumes/OSX/Users/user/Desktop/autopatch/"

And your edited APDIR:

APDIR="/Volumes/Your_10.4.3_Drive/Users/Your_User_Name/Desktop/autopatch/"

Then restart and make you 10.4.4 bootable DVD, burn, and enjoy!!!

Thanks. I am almost certain that I tried it, including renaming the file correctly and placing it in the designated folder. I'll give it another shot. I have 10.4.5 running native using the myzar patch solution, but I thought that the restore disc might have a fefw more features such as apps or video card drivers. Is this correct or should I just use what I have. Please note that I have not installed iLife 6 yet. Right now, my USB mouse, serial Dell keyboard and on board sound all work fine, except for the minor artifact when moving the mouse. Ultimately, I will by the Intel tower when the arrive, but I have been waiting to upgrade for a long time.

Must the autopatch folder be placed on the desktop rather than the 10.4.4_restore...patch folder?

Must the boot volume be 10.4.3 or can I use 10.3.9 or 10.4.5?

Thanks,
