and from what i see all the ports now work-i connect my digital camera and iphoto starts

i connect my treo 650 and i can see it as a media reader because im using missing sync

but when i connect the ipod all i see is the ipod charging and no "do not disconnect: sign

itunes does not recognise it.

my computer specs.

mobile pentium m processor 1.5ghz

1gb of ram

120gb hd

sse-sse2 no mx or pae

everything on this computer works except for the resolution and the wifi

:D I just bought one from Compusa for $50 and (suppose there is another 10 dollar gift card from them )

this is what I did to make it work

1. my router was set according to windows, WPA-PSK encryptions TKIP and with password..

2. plug the card in , and boot the pc. HD tiger->Applications->Internet Connect (the purple phone sucket icon) duble click it.

3. click the Airport (orange ) choose the network ie. your routors name. there will be a small window pops up asking for WPA personal password. type it in and click "Show AirPort Status in menu bar"

4. you are on the internet...

I didnt do anything special, according to the HCL list, this one should be ok without anymodification. the airport2.kext is the orginal one ( I didnt touch anything inside thesystem libray extension folder)

I am not sure what I did since initiatally it didnt work for me either. In the profile part, yes, PC card lists as unknown card. and the application->utility->airport utility shows nothing either. However theICON on the menu bar did showed something "aretheros?" card?.

maybe you should use te control panel->network first, select AIRPORT first, (if you did plug it in, and reboot) then try that purple "internet connect"

good luck

I am planing to reinstall the system, until then, I may have the exact procedure , hehehe
