flavo
Hi, I have a osx86 10.5.4 all I need working well, but when I record audio or monitoring in realtime, appears random cracks a sorf o loopings (appears to increase with hi volumes and dinamic changes). Virtual instruments e playback processed in realtime work very whell. I use a m-audio fw1814 and my mobo fw chipset is TI. All updated. I discovered that my cpu clock, a quad 2.4, appears as 3.2 or 3.6 without doing any overclock. Ram are corectly displayed t 800hz. If this can be a problem, how to fix? I reinstaled driver, change fw port, disable wifi. Some people says that the jmicrom port or the firewire port can be the problem, and the sugestions are to turn off ou by a pci-fw port. Thanks in advance and hugs from Brazil!
Kit67
Try changing your AppleFWAudio.kext I installed an older kext(1.2.2) and it worked great. Original version with iatkos 10.5.4 ..........AppleFWAudio.kext 2.4.2 Current version of AppleFWAudio.kext 1.2.2 Hope this helps. I'm using a Phonic Helix FW Mixer and all 16 input channels are working very well. Using Digital Performer 6.
flavo
Thanks Kit67! It doesnt work with a fresh kalyway 10.5.2. I fact, it increase the pops and cracks. I will not test this option in my image with 10.5.4, cause I think that I will get the same result. Maybe the kalyway instalation is the problem... Anyone to give me a clue? Kit67
Oh I forgot to mention that I'm not using the onboard firewire port. I'm using a pci firewire card.
