-.monkichi.- Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 I am trying to install the 10.5.2 keyway dvd on the sony vaio vgnc140. it has a gma950 video card. when i get to the welcome screen, the video plays but the lcd monitor has no picture... all i see is a white screen that gets darker i then hear the sound but that's all... any ideas as to what it could be??? it's a laptop... thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did you 'Customize' your install and select the appropriate Video card drivers? Have you tried hooking up an external monitor? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RTMG Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 With some laptops, if ur experiencing screen difficulties u can plug a regular monitor into the vga/dvi port and spookily u get a good screen on that - when ur laptop screen is screwy ?!?!! Then ofc u can work on the install to find ur problem/install driver/patches. Also, I`ve noticed on some install attempts that the 1st time around, the welcome thing either stalls or leaves u with a blank screen. Restarting somehow get`s over this initial thing.
