WonderBoy
Hi to everyone, I've managed to install 10.4.3 on my AMD Athlon 64 (Venice) with an Asrock (nForce chipset) mobo and ATI 9600 (AGP). I don't need SATA and I've a netgear pci ethernet card (so network works). The BIG issue I have is with video: by adding my card_id to kext, i have to disable QE cause it's really slow and mouse artifacts are still there. So, what's the best AMD setup (mobo + videocard) to get video work ? Maybe I could exchange my Sempron with an Intel Celeron...in that case, what's the BEST WORKING INTEL setup ? Thanks a lot. MacApprentice
Best intel setup is mine check my sig. You could replace the cpu with a SSE3 capable celeron and slower ram so it'll be cheaper.
