devilhood
Hey, Just installed the 10.4.5 Myzar DVD perfectly, but ONLY with Multicore disabled, the DVD would only boot with it disabled too. Strangely enough, the 10.4.3 JaS 4.2b patched disc boots perfectly with Multicore enabled, albeit with flickery graphics here and there, so there must be something in the new 10.4.5 disc that is causing this problem. My panic says Started CPU 01panic(cpu 1 caller 0x00371755): ACPI: AcpiOsFree Debugger called: <panic> Backtrace, Format - Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) a whole bunch of address errors... then Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies): com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform(1.0.3)@0x34d55000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(1.8)@0.34d0f000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily(1.2.0)@0x34dlb000 Running on a Dell Inspiron 9400 T2600 @ 2.16 GHz Yonah SSE3 NX PAT PAE The moment I disable Multicore, everything runs ok. However, I then replaced the Kernel with a base patch only, and now the mac can't find the root user and it just loops forever preventing me from logging in. See this thread Are these problems just attributed to the Myzar disc? should I try out the other popular torrent? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheerz.
