Computer won't sleep automatically

Hello everyone

 

This is my system:

OS= Kalyway 10.5.2

Features= EFI V8, GUID, Netkas kernel (Shut Down/Restart/Sleep all working).

CPU= E6550 2.33GHz @ 2.975GHz (425MHz x 7)

MB= GA-P35C-DS3R Rev. 2.0

RAM= 4x1GB Kingston 800MHz @ 850MHz (1:1 FSB->RAM ratio)

VGA= Gigabyte 8400GS PCI-E 256MB with EFI string

 

Sleep works perfectly, but when I set the machine to automatically sleep after a specified time ("Put the computer to sleep when it is active for:" in Energy Saver) it doesn't go to sleep. Instead, the screen will turn off, but the machine will not.

 

My lovely wife keeps forgetting to send the computer to sleep or to shut it down (our newborn baby keeps distracting her, bad boy!) and therefore it just stays on all day long consuming energy and polluting the planet (and my electricity bill...).

 

Any ideas on how to fix this?
