gnomes
i forget the exact model but i have a VIA sound chipset. its the one on the abit kv-81 motherboard. OS X detects it as "audio (built in)" with "no information found". if i go into preferences and change output to line-out, audio plays too quickly. if i change it to spdif or whatever it is, audio plays a bit too slow. i'm playing music with itunes. i've turned the itunes equalizer off. as well, neither line out or spdif seem to be utilizing my subwoofer as well as windows did. Callysto
Have you tried adjusting the sampling frequency? run /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup where it says Audio Output there's a format drop down menu there are other values in there. Experiment it may work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12358-audio-is-either-too-fast-or-too-slow/#findComment-78093 Share on other sites
