nvanberkel
Dear all, I have an HP Pavilion DV6700 notebook. I've installed the Kalyway 10.5.2 INTEL/AMD DVD. At the customize option, I choosed for the Vanilla Kernel. This is the only Kernel I checked on: kernel_vanilla_922 The installation went smooth. Everyting is working, including Wireless, Graphics and Sound after some patching. But when I start terminal, and type uname -a, I see Darwin Kernel 9.2.2. But I choosed for Vanilla Kernel! How can this be? I reinstalled 2 times, but still got the Darwin Kernel. Ted Logan
Vanilla is just another term for "plain", and "Darwin" is the proper name of the Mac OS X Kernel itself. You are running the "plain" version of Darwin. I hope that's cleared things up for you.
