This is my first Hackintosh, but I've been following Hackintosh projects and these forums for quite some time.

I've installed MacOS from the iATKOS v4i dvd 4 times, with different configurations, with all resulting in either the multi-lingual "Pleas restart your computer" message on reboot, or getting stuck at "Still waiting for root device" in verbose mode. I guess the first problem comes from not selecting the stock Apple ACPI component for installation, and the 2nd from my SATA HDD not being in IDE mode in the bios (as there seem to be SATA/IDE problems with this iATKOS release).

You can see my PC configuration in my signature, and here are the components of the iATKOS DVD (from uphuck forum - thanks to member RWE for already having it uploaded on imageshack and saving me the hassle :P ):

So far I have tried the following components:

vanilla kernel/nforce kernels/intel speedstep kernel (under Drivers/System)

SMBIos netkas/SMBios 27 for iMac

Patch for PS2 (everytime)

Remove thermal kexts (everytime)

NVinject for Geforce 7 series (everytime, for the GeForce 7050 integrated card)

SATA

nForce SATA

NTFS-3G

Realtek driver (for the integrated network adapter)

The question is: which of the above components should I choose for my configuration? Any suggestions?

PS: Sorry for the long post :)
