krrr
I just got 2 gb stick which has higher speed settings, OSx86 bootup till User desktop is extremely slow now, i am puzzled. does using different speed (mhz) ram matter? is it bad? i thought both of the rams will work on lower setting and all will be good. irontony
Unfortunately mixing ram memory speeds means that the system will always use the slower speed for compatibility. You can research the finer details why that is, but ram is pretty cheap so it would be advisable to add another 2Gb 667MHz and remove that slow 1Gb one.
