tweaker3 Posted March 17, 2006 Share Posted March 17, 2006 I don't know if anyone else has noticied this or not, but the sampling rate used in OSX for USB mice isn't the best. I'm spoiled rotten with USB Mouserate Switcher for windows; it allows you to enforce a polling rate of up to 1000hz from 120hz. Lets just say that even at 500hz the cursor movements are as smooth as silk. This works beautifully on my $5 logitech mouse! I'm just wondering if anyone knows of an equivalent for OSX. I understand that this is probably a 100% cosmetic issue, but It dosen't hurt to ask! djjoshuad Posted March 20, 2006 Share Posted March 20, 2006 for what it's worth, I don't notice this problem. I use a logitech wireless mouse (and keyboard) that works beautifully. For fun, I have swapped in all the USB mice I own, and never noticed a jumpy cursor. Perhaps the problem isn't the sample rate?
