I have IBM R52 laptop with Intel Pentium-M 1.6 Ghz with SSE and SSE2 (look at attached file for detailed CPU info). I have Windows XP and Ubuntu installed on this machine. I read a few articles online and saw some videos on youtube.com about the Mac OS on intel so thought of installing on my Comp. I downloaded Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso and Acronis OS Selector 8.0.914 installed as told in the videos. After instalation when my computer restarted I saw the Apple logo and then the computer screen turned blue without even the cursor there.

I did forced shut down and removed the dvd and restarted my comp. The acronis was gone so i ran the acronis recovery boot disk and recovered the Acronis OS selector. Then I could see four partitions (including IBM recovery partition). I selected the Unkown Operating System but then it gives horrifying HFS+ Partition Error and nothing works. Please suggest me how can I see the amazing mac screen on my laptop? :(

P.S.: In one of the articles i read that "Jas OS 10.4.6 has option to select what CPU option i want to install either SSE2 or SSE3" means evenif my comp is only SSE2 it should support. Unluckily i am not able to download the Jas OS 10.4.6. :(

Thanks for helping. I read the this article and tried pc_efi v8. I made the mentioned changes in the menu.lst of my ubuntu 8.04 too. but when i restarted my comp and selected the entry of Mac OS Leopard in Grub then it started booting into Windows. I again restarted my comp and selected Mac OS again but interrupted the boot within 2 seconds and it said like you have two options: 80 (first disk) and 81 (second disk). In first option it goes to windows XP and in second option it gives error:

file missing '/com.apple.Boot.plist

Please suggest what to. mind you i got the blue screen after restart during the Mac installation sequence. Is it because of that faulty installation? or installation was full?

can i find this file some where and copy it there on the drive? some how?
