MOBO: ASUS P5K Premium Wi/Fi ap black pearl edition on board... AUDIO: ADI AD1988B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC ethernet 1:Marvell88E8056® PCI-E Gigabit ethernet 2:RealtekRTL8110SC® PCI Gigabit CPU: Intel core2quad Q6600 MEM: 2 x 2Gb G-Skill DDR2 PC6400 HDDs: 1 x 500Gb sata 2 seagate baracuda (win XP) 1 x 500Gb sata 2 samsung (MacOSX leopard ) Vid: XFX Nvidia 8800GTX budgo IDE dvd burner... my biggest prob. Using Kalyway 10.5.2 intel/amd image first atempt........ big let down as the JMIcron IDE controller cuased me to have the com.apple.Boot.plist not found problem that has stopped alot of people. did some more reading and stumbled upon a patch (google JMicron IDE DVD ppf patch for Kalyway 10.5.2) very simple to use patch and got me past the pain in the arse issue with the JMIcron controllers...worked for me, cant say if it will work for any one else lol. trucked along with my install and it kept failing on me... noob mistake... i was trying to install osx on a fat32 partition, just wasnt gonna happen, used disk utils reformated my target drive to a mac based file system cant remeber what its call off the top of my head but it was journaled and not case sensitive. just wanted to thank all the posters on this forum... and who ever up keeps up the osx86 wiki you have all been invaluable. now hoefully i can use final cut pro for a single assesment without having to fork out over 3000 bucks for a decent mac oh and i used the vinilla kernel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122204-to-easy/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
