Kykc Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Have a strange problem. As I have Atheros AR5007EG Wireless in my notebook, I've decide to buy USB Wireless with Mac support, but.. It didn't worked My problem: Driver installed, device is recognized (I can see it in Network Connections and in Zydas config) but after ~15 sec after device connection ALL USB devices freezes (mouse, flash drive, etc) and I'm unable to do something with wireless.. PS In other notebook this device with same driver works fine... Any suggestions? PLEASE! :glare: PPS I've tried it on Kalyway 10.5.2 and iDeneb 10.5.4 with same results. Upload the complete driver package somewhere and pm me the link so I can download it, I'll look into it and see what's causing the problem and fix it if I can, also is it zydas1211 chipset? Mine is 4.5.70, there is 4.5.10. Thanks, I'll try it shortly If not, backup IO82011 and delete the original and restart, then it should work. I'll have to delete IO80211Family.kext, if my device was not recognized by driver? After 10 secs all USB devices including USB Wireless hang up :\ BuildSmart Waiting for your help EDIT: I've tried a lot of drivers from all over the net and especcialy this forum. 4.5.0.0, 4.5.7.0, 4.5.10.0, 4.5.9.0 with same results. Kykc Posted August 25, 2008 Author Share Posted August 25, 2008 One interesting thing - if I remove AppleUSBEHCI.kext plugin from IOUSBFamily.kext (this force dongle to operate in 1.1 mode) all is fine. USB devices don't freeze anymore and internet is working. So! Can somebody advice me what I can do to get it working in USB2.0 (now I have latest IOUSBFamily.kext from Slice)?
